Vauxhall Corsa E 2014 Tyre Pressure Reset (TPMS)
TPMS Reset / Tyre Pressure Monitor
How to reset / calibrate your 2014 Vauxhall Corsa E tyre pressure monitoring system
1. Open the tyre pressure menu
2. Start sensor learning
3. Match all four wheel positions
Original simplified illustrations of the Corsa E stalk controls and sensor matching sequence. The dashboard reset alone does not identify the wheel positions.
2014 overlap: this guide applies to the later Corsa E, not the earlier Corsa D.
For the Corsa E with direct tyre-pressure sensors and MENU / SET/CLR stalk controls. This procedure matches sensor IDs to wheel positions after wheels are moved or sensors are replaced. A compatible TPMS relearn tool is required; the dashboard cannot locate the wheels by itself.
1. Check the tyres and their specified cold pressures. Park, apply the handbrake and switch the ignition on. Select neutral on a manual gearbox or P on an automatic. For an automated manual (Easytronic), keep the brake pedal down and hold the selector in N for five seconds until P appears on the display.
2. Press MENU on the indicator stalk to open Vehicle Information. Rotate its adjuster to the tyre pressure screen. Press SET/CLR and accept the prompt with SET/CLR again. Two horn sounds signal that learning mode is ready.
3. Use the relearn tool against the tyre sidewall beside the valve. Activate the left front sensor first, then right front, right rear and left rear. Left and right mean as seated in the vehicle facing forwards. Wait for a horn acknowledgement at each wheel. The final wheel produces two horn sounds to finish matching.
Allow no more than two minutes for the first wheel and five minutes for all four. If the session expires, start again. Switch the ignition off afterwards; confirm the correct pressures and Tyre Load setting. Check that the displayed positions are correct at the next ignition cycle.
This is the sensor matching procedure described in the Corsa E handbook. If the controls differ, a sensor will not respond or the warning remains, have the system checked. This does not repair a puncture or program an incompatible replacement sensor.
Before resetting the tyre pressure monitoring system for the Vauxhall Corsa E
Check the tyres first
A reset does not repair a puncture or restore lost air. Check all tyres and set the correct cold pressures before following the reset instructions. If a tyre repeatedly loses pressure, have the cause investigated rather than repeatedly clearing the warning.
Why does my Vauxhall Corsa E show the wrong wheel position?
If a reading appears at the wrong corner after moving wheels, the Corsa E needs sensor matching with a compatible relearn tool. Starting learning mode on the stalk alone does not assign the sensors. Follow the illustrated sequence above. A low-pressure warning without a wheel change is different: correct the cold pressures first; driving may be needed for the readings to update.
If the warning returns
Recheck the pressures and inspect for damage. A persistent or flashing warning can indicate a system fault as well as a pressure issue; use the vehicle handbook to identify it. TPMS does not replace routine manual pressure checks.
