Terminal diameter is only one part of battery compatibility. Check the positive and negative terminal positions, case dimensions, hold-down type, voltage, capacity and cold-cranking rating as well.

Compare the positive and negative terminal positions, terminal diameter, case height and cable reach before fitting. The replacement battery should sit securely in the tray without stretching or crossing the vehicle cables.
What if the terminals look similar?
Do not assume they are interchangeable. Small differences in terminal size or layout can prevent a secure electrical connection and may cause starting or charging problems.
Does terminal orientation matter?
Yes. Left- and right-hand terminal layouts can use the same battery case size but place the positive terminal on the opposite side, which may make the battery unsuitable for the vehicle.
