Finding the correct tyre pressure

Your vehicle manufacturer may specify different pressures for normal driving, a fully loaded vehicle or sustained high-speed use. Always check the tyre-pressure placard—usually inside the driver’s door, fuel flap or handbook—and use the pressure for your exact model, tyre size and load.

Check pressures when the tyres are cold. The number moulded into the tyre sidewall is the tyre’s maximum rating, not normally the recommended everyday pressure for your vehicle.
