How to Use the Battery Fitment Guide

Choose the vehicle manufacturer first, then check the model, engine and year carefully. Battery requirements can change within the same model range.

Before ordering or fitting: check whether the vehicle uses start-stop technology, confirm the battery dimensions and terminal layout, and make sure the replacement meets the required capacity and cold-cranking specification.

Battery Fitment Checklist

Before choosing a replacement battery, confirm the vehicle make and model, model year, engine size, start-stop system, battery technology, physical case size, terminal position and the required electrical ratings. If any detail is uncertain, use the vehicle registration and manufacturer information rather than relying only on the battery currently fitted.

Common Fitment Questions

Can the same model use different batteries?

Yes. Engine, equipment level, model year and start-stop specification can change the required battery even within the same vehicle model.

Can I fit a conventional battery instead of AGM or EFB?

Use the battery technology specified for the vehicle. Replacing an AGM or EFB battery with an unsuitable conventional battery can lead to poor performance and reduced service life.
